Our favourite places to visit in Ireland
Our love of Ireland has continued to blossom over the years and we always adore coming over to visit our treasured customers in Dublin. This year we had a particular treat of being invited to pop-up at Kildare Village and go back to Powerscourt Townhouse above Chupi, from the Thursday 4th December - Saturday 13th at 4pm. So we thought we'd put together this little blog sharing a few interesting ideas on places to visit if you are lucky enough to explore the magic of Ireland. NATIONAL GALLERY OF IRELAND Open 7 days a week, if you are looking to be inspired by local culture and artists this is the first place on my list if I have the time. When visiting, go to room 20 ( ask reception for directions ) and try to find the painting “Meeting on the Turret Stairs”. It is truly one of most romantic painting I have ever seen and it will forever captivate my heart. PARFUMARIJA Located in the Westbury Mall, Make sure to discover the very niche brand Filippo Sorcinelli - who designed and manufactured the sacred vestments for the pope- amazing yet confusing scents which really are such a joy to discover. FALLON AND BYRNE A wonderful independent grocery store 5 minutes away from Chupi. This really is such a joy to discover and get some local produce. Highly recommend checking out the cheese section in particular. COURTVILLE JEWELLERS Located in Powerscourt Townhouse, this brand specialises in pre-loved vintage pieces all authentically guaranteed. Ask for Matthew, and see if you can try on a tiara and ask them to show you how it converts to a bracelet. Amazing. AMURI It’s a little Sicilian restaurant near Chupi - about a 5 minute walk. Buy a hot Arrancino for takeaway lunch I also highly recommend checking out the pistachio which is the best! CAVISTONS IN GLASTHULE Cavistons Restaurant opened its doors in 1996 and was recommended to me by the wonderful Suzanne, the restaurant was an opportunity to showcase the freshest seafood in Dublin which is amazing. KILLINEY HILL & BEACH Killiney Hill is known for its walking trails with scenic views, while Killiney Beach is a long, stony beach suitable for swimming, with views of Dalkey Island and Bray Head. Again originally recommended to me by Suzanne, these views are breaking and shows you just how stunning this place is. CHRISTMAS MARKET AT THE QUEENS IN DALKEY This year is apparently the first Christmas market, held from November 28th - December 21st. Great food and seasonal company. SWIMMING IN THE SEA AT FORTY FOOT An historic and favourite local bathing spot in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, which lets you enjoy plunging into the cold Irish Sea year-round, with water temperatures typically ranging from 12-15 degrees. THE LIBRARY ST RESTAURANT Located centrally in Dublin, Library Street is a restaurant & wine bar. A mixture of local and Italian food, with great sharing plates. BALFES Located in the heart of Dublin, Balfes is a vibrant all-day Parisian and New-York style brasserie with a 26-seater outdoor terrace. A very popular place for local celebrities apparently too! THE GUINNESS FACTORY Not only is the tour around the factory a lovely chance to experience the history, heart, and soul of Ireland's most beloved beer. But after your visit you could walk down to Ryan’s on Park Gate Street, they do nice pub style food and a great place to relax after your tour. It’s also beside the district court so lots of legal eagles in there. These new hues complement our existing tonal palette of Leopard Print, Honey, Soft Khaki, Cream/Tan, and French Navy — creating a cohesive world of tone and texture. New Shearling Shapes The Peplum Jacket (Adele) – A feminine, shorter silhouette defined by precise seam detailing and artisanal stitchwork. Adele represents a new level of craftsmanship for us — elegant yet dramatic, perfect for elevating jeans and trainers, yet sophisticated enough for evening wear. The Hope Waistcoat - A forever piece. Beautiful, versatile, and reversible, it layers effortlessly over dresses or knits, and fits neatly beneath our shearling coats.
